Celebrating Christmas together.

We have had so much fun this week getting ready for Christmas and playing together.

We had our annual ginger bread house decorating night. There was more eating than decorating :) We all went to bed with tummy aches, but had so much fun.
We took some old towels and a 5lb bag of dog bones up to the animal shelter to help the homeless dogs celebrate Christmas. The boys were in heaven and all picked out which dog they wanted to take home.
We also made bird feeders to help the birds have a great Christmas.
Each night, we think of a nice thing each person in the family has done, and place a piece of straw in a manger we have prepared to lay baby Jesus in. It has been so fun to hear what each of the kids had to say about each other, why they thought they had earned a straw. It has been a great way to end the day. I feel ready for Christmas and am so happy the true meaning of Christmas has filled our home this year.
